Our Games, Animation and VFX students were recently recognised for their talent at the highly anticipated NextGen Graduate Showcase 2023, held at the iconic BAFTA Headquarters in London!
22 of our talented students were invited to the showcase, joining over 80 students from across the NextGen network of colleges to showcase their work to industry professionals.
Also in attendance, was over 50 industry professionals from renowned employers such as Creative Assembly, Blue Zoo, Union VFX, The British Film Industry (BFI), and PlayStation.
The quality of work on display this year was extraordinary, as the students showcased their playable games, accomplished animations, and explosive VFX sequences, while industry experts provided invaluable feedback on their creations.
One of the highlights of the event were the Industry, Tutor, and Student Choice Awards. These awards recognised the exceptional achievements of creative collaboration in Games, Animation and VFX, voted by industry professionals, educators, and student peers.
Our students were recognised for their standout game ‘Sent Down’ which won the Student Choice Award, announced by Tom Box, Co-Founder of Blue Zoo Animation Studio!
Marcia Deakin, Co-Founder of NextGen, expressed her gratitude, commenting "The Graduate Showcase marks a significant milestone for our students as they prepare for their next steps after NextGen.
