From the creative imagery used by advertising photographers in magazines, to the compelling world of editorial photography, the camera’s ability to record the world around us creates an unlimited number of career opportunities in the industry.
We offer an extensive range of short leisure courses, a level 3 Extended Diploma and a full BA (Hons) degree in Photography.
You will benefit
You’ll be studying all elements of photography, both digital and traditional, using our state-of-the-art studio, dark room as well as shooting on location, transforming your passion for photography into a creative profession.
Our tutors and lecturers have worked within the creative industry for a number of years, establishing excellent employer links and an extensive range of knowledge. You can be confident in knowing that you are learning from the experts.
You will succeed
We have great links with St Helens Rugby League Club, enabling you to attend matches and work on your sports photography, capturing images of the players as you photograph the games.
You will stand out
Once you’ve completed your photography qualification, you’re ready to decide your next step. You'll have the option of continuing your studies on our own photography degree at University Centre St Helens, accredited by University of Chester.
Alternatively you can choose to study for a degree at another university or enter the industry in a junior role. You could specialise in weddings, fashion shoots or working at live sporting events.
