"During the second national lockdown, I was furloughed from my full-time job, so I decided to use the opportunity to further my development and change my career. I’ve always been interested in mental health and after seeing it significantly rise in children and young people due to the pandemic, I knew I wanted a career that involved supporting them.
The distance learning course was fantastic and easy to complete online - my tutor guided me every step of the way. I’ve now secured employment as an Independent Advisor with Inspire Children’s Services, working with children and young adults who are leaving the care system."
