You will learn how to use hand tools as you master the art of pipe bending and soldering techniques,whilst working towards installing bathrooms and heating systems.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?
The course will start in September and will take one year to complete.
What will I study?
During this course, you will cover the following:
- Health and safety
- Basic principles and jointing processes
- Scientific principles of plumbing
- Principles of hot water
- Principles of cold water
- Principles of heating and sanitation systems
You will learn how to use hand tools as you master the art of pipe bending and soldering techniques, whilst working towards installing bathrooms and heating systems. In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to gain some work experience within the construction industry.
How is it assessed?
During this course, you'll be assessed by a range of practical and online assessments.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
You will need GCSEs at grade 3 (equivalent to grade D) or above in English and maths. You must also have a passion for working within the construction industry and commitment to your studies.
English and maths forms an important part of your future, ensuring you achieve the best success in your chosen career. But don't worry, if you haven't got the desired grades, we will still have a course available for you.
