Advanced Techniques in Dog Grooming

This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

Gain a greater level of understanding in dog grooming, sharpen your skills and advance your techniques with the help of industry professional tutors.

This course is the perfect next step if you have already completed our Preliminary Dog Grooming course or, if you already have some industry experience and would like to enhance your skills, knowledge and employability.

During this course you will learn how to groom different breeds of dog, provide a first-class customer care experience and discover the business opportunities that are available upon completion of the course.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course has start dates and times throughout the year and will take 12 weeks to complete.

The course takes place at St Helens College, STEM Centre Campus, St Helens WA9 1TT.

During the course you will study a variety of different modules that will help you gain essential sector knowledge and skills at a more advanced level. Many of our successful students have secured employment within the industry and have even gone on to running their own dog grooming business/salon.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

To enrol on to this course you will have completed the Preliminary Dog Grooming course.

What are the course fees?

The total cost of this course is £650. To secure your place, you will need to pay a £200 deposit with the remaining balance payable upon enrolment. You can pay your deposit and reserve your place in our online shop.

This is a full cost course meaning that there are no fee discounts available.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Many of our successful students have secured employment within the industry and have even gone onto running their very own dog grooming business/salon.
