Level 3 Award in Electric Vehicle Charging Installations

This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

This recognised qualification is aimed at qualified electricians, looking to enhance their skill set and knowledge of domestic and small commercial electric vehicle charging installations.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

The course has various start dates throughout the year and will take one week to complete.

The course takes place at St Helens College, STEM Centre Campus, St Helens WA9 1TT.

  • Design and Installation of Domestic and Small Commercial Electric Vehicle Charging Installations
  • Statutory and Non-Statutory Regulations
  • Different types of EVCE
  • Use of Smart Charging

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You should have one of the below qualifications:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures, and the Environment) (2357)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance) (2357)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification (5357)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker (2356)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (2346)

The total cost of this course is £750.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

On successful completion of this course, you will have developed the knowledge and competencies to install domestic, commercial, and on-street vehicle charging points.
